Chuck Wagner is a powerhouse of the American stage, perhaps best known for his enduring five-year run as the Beast in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.

A celebrated interpreter of Stephen Sondheim, he originated the role of Rapunzel’s Prince in the original Broadway production of Into the Woods and later brought his commanding presence to the roles of Cinderella’s Prince and the Wolf on the national tour.

His career is defined by iconic, high-stakes roles. He holds the distinction of creating the dual title characters in the world premiere of Jekyll & Hyde at Houston’s Alley Theatre, a performance he later took on international tour. His other major Broadway credits include: Javert in Les Misérables,  Van Helsing in Dracula the Musical  anf Athos in The Three Musketeers.

Beyond the proscenium arch, Chuck’s career has been remarkably eclectic. He spent four years as the Ringmaster for The Greatest Show on Earth (Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey) and remains a cult favorite for his starring role as the computer-generated superhero in the television series Automan.

Today, Chuck continues to tour the world with his acclaimed one-man shows, Living the Dream and Classic, which have been performed across the Atlantic and Pacific aboard major cruise lines.

When not on stage, he produces audiobooks, leads musical theatre masterclasses, and shares his unique philosophy on resilience through his motivational talk, Prevailure.

"Chuck Wagner doesn't just teach performance; he teaches the endurance and mindset required for a lifelong career."
