In response to the article about Automan in the September 2005 issue of SFX, Chuck wrote the following:

Greeting from across the pond! I'm writing to thank you, and especially
Jayne Dearsley for her fond remembrance and positive support for
AUTOMAN. Since my halcion holgram days I've stayed busy on Broadway and in theatres around the US and Canada, and I'll always treasure my days on the 20th Century Fox lot in my sparkling suit. Give my thanks also to BRAVO there in Great Britain for bringing our vintage series into the light, and give my love to the entire UK. I'd love to play the West End someday soon. Here's to a bright future for us all.

Your friend and humble hologram,

Chuck Wagner

Jayne Dearsley replied:
Hi Chuck,

Thank you very much for your email - what a lovely surprise! - and I'm
happy to hear that you enjoyed the column I wrote about Automan in this
month's SFX magazine.

It really was a joy to discover it showing on BRAVO the other day and I
had a wonderful time re-experiencing the show. Since writing the column,
many people have mentioned to me that they loved it, too; they just
needing their memories jogging. All the men remember how the Autocar
turned around corners... while all the women remember *you*!

I'm happy to hear that you've kept busy in theatre, hopefully wearing less
shiny clothing!

Thank you for entertaining me so much as a young teenager - and as a
slightly jaded adult, too. Honestly, Automan was ACE.

Jayne x
